Daniel's promise

”By helping kids like this to have a decent childhood not only changes their lives, it has also changed mine – I have been taken out of my comfort zone and stopped thinking just about myself and my life – and the end result gives me greater peace and a belief that God is in all of us if we take a moment to seek him”

I first went out to Kampala for a month February 2008 to teach tennis but I had no idea what I was letting myself in for!!!  I came home and started the charity Daniel’s Promise.  Its hard work trying to find £27000 a year which is needed for the 32 boys upbringing but when I see those boys faces and their sense of happiness at being taken out of the circumstances they were previously in it all becomes worthwhile.  Please see their stories – they will really move you.

I am always hoping that somebody else would like to get involved so do give me a ring if you have any ideas for fundraising or would like to come with me to Kampala to see the boys in the home.  If you go you will never be the same again!!!!
